Hello, my name is Josiah Shaw, and I was born and raised in South Texas. I am a father, and a military veteran turned film director. Growing up, I was always fascinated by movies, but I never thought much about filmmaking. I remember watching films like Rocky and Top Gun, which stuck with me long after the credits rolled, making me feel something I couldn’t quite explain. It wasn’t until I got older that I realized it wasn’t just the stories that moved me—it was the way they are told. That curiosity eventually turned into a passion. I was lucky enough to meet a very talented photographer who put a camera in my hands, and that’s when everything clicked. From that moment on, I knew I wanted to tell stories visually.
